An Introduction

We are a group of local writers who love the written and
spoken word in all its forms. We are a friendly bunch who meet each month to share our writing, offer
support and exchange ideas.

We try for a varied programme; sometimes
there’s a mini-workshop, sometimes we have a guest speaker from the world of literature.
Or we have our ever-popular Local Writers’ Nights,
when we read our work to each other.
Why not come along?

Meet Richard Frost at Speakeasy

Friday, 6th February 19:30-22:30

Richard Frost has been writing and performing poetry for live audiences since 2008, featuring at festivals and events across the country, and reaching the Hammer and Tongue national poetry slam finals in 2013 (he didn't win). Richard organises and hosts numerous live spoken word events including Scribal Gathering, an open mic night which he founded in 2010, and has hosted poetry stages at the Waterside, World Picnic and StonyLive festivals.
